Ups and Downs

Oh wow, I’m so sorry for pulling a disappearing act. I honestly did not intend to be gone so long. I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I wrote my last blog post!

Here’s what I’ve been up to…

For two weeks, during the latter part of July through early August, I took a trip to the Bitterroot Valley in Montana for a much needed vacation. The scenery in Montana is just spectacular, and I had an absolutely wonderful time hiking, relaxing, and soaking up the sun.

Below are just a few of the pictures that I took during my trip. (Note: you can click on any picture to view a larger version)

Upon returning to Alaska, I found that my precious kitty cat was ill. She wasn’t eating, had lost weight, and was quite lethargic. The vet ran some tests, and a few days later my kitty was diagnosed with cancer. Although the vet did everything she possibly could for my kitty, sadly, her health kept deteriorating and it was decided that the humane thing to do was to have her euthanized.

I miss my sweet girl so much, but I know in my heart that we’ll meet again someday – perhaps at Rainbow Bridge.

I feel like I’ve been riding a roller coaster for the past several weeks, with all the ups, downs, and unexpected turns that have come my way, but I did manage to bake a couple of goodies along the way, which I promise to share with you very soon.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
