Now this is the way every Friday should begin – with a beautiful and colorful sunrise.
The sun rose this morning at 6:22AM and will set at 9:37PM tonight, giving us 15 hours and 15 minutes of daylight today. Our daylight hours will continue to increase through summer solstice on June 21st. At that time, we’ll have a little over 19 hours of daylight.
Some people complain about having difficulties going to sleep at night when the sun is still up and shining, but the long Spring & Summer days is one of the things I really enjoy about living in Alaska.
Happy TGIF everyone! Have a wonderful weekend!!

I agree, Friday or any day! What a beautiful sunrise! Our summer days are not that long, but I sure do enjoy the longer daylight hours!
I’ve been lucky enough to be able to spend some time in Montana, and even though your daylight hours may not be as long as ours, Montana sure is a beautiful place. Have a wonderful weekend!
Any day that starts off this beautifully has to be a great day. The colors in the sky are gorgeous. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you, George!
Both of photos are so beautiful. I admired them in bigger format.
Happy Sunday!
Thank you! I hope you had a great weekend!
